POPE'S VIEW OF "ENGLISHES" VS. THE NC STATE "I SOUND LIKE A SCHOLAR" VIDEO

Pope's view of English heavily relies on dialect and the history of growth of the English language over the years. However, in the NC State Youtube video, the focus was more so on our intellect outside of our language. The students capabilities and intelligence doesn't reside solely on their upbringing and impressive vocabulary. I think the judgement of dialect is entirely subjective and that is what Pope touches on. How we might have an initial thought towards someone because of how they speak and not necessarily what they say.
