What terms from Pope can/could you apply to episode 3?

There are two big terms that I think could be applied to episode 3. One term is gaps and silences which we talked about last Thursday. There are lots of unsaid things and assumptions being made in between the lines. There are gaps and silences regarding the estranged cousins and their motives or even John and why he chose to kill himself.
